itunes 8 and disappearing icons

Anyone else having this problem? Many of my app icons aren't showing up in the applications part of itunes 8.

Also, the 1 update available apparently isn't available, when I try to click on it I get a dramatic looking stop sign error message.
What gives?

My icons all showed as that initially, but then they all downloaded themselves within 10 seconds or so.

Do you mean "time" as in days or weeks or "time" as in minutes or hours. It's been doing it since last night, and through several itunes 8 startups and ipod syncs. I don't want to sound antsy, but I also want you to realize that I didn't just capture the screen after one second of waiting.
