iPod Itunes 9.0.3.15 cannot detect my new ipod touch 3g 3.1.2

Hello all,
I bought a new ipod touch 3g yesterday. When i plugged it to Itunes 9.0.3.15, it cannot detect my new ipod touch.But my computer detects it as a camera,It also charges through the computer..
Please help..
