Ever since i updated to SL 10.6.3 and iTunes 9.1 every time I download app updates for my iPhone it goes to my account info. screen first.

The scenario is that I check for app updates in iTunes, I find there are like 3 of them. I hit the download free updates button and get the box to enter my password. Then, instead of downloading the updated apps, the screen goes to my account screen, the one where you can edit your payment info, change password, etc. Anyway to fix this so it stops going to the account screen?

Anyone else having this issue?
TIA

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3GS: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Not sure if it's related, but yesterday iTunes (latest version) decided that my credit card's VALID security code was in invalid. Same card I've used from the start without any issues. Called my CC provider and of course there's nothing wrong with my account. Sent an email to apple support explaining that all my billing info is entered correctly, hasn't changed in any way, that the card is active, etc, etc. Got a canned reply mostly relating to making sure my info is entered correctly. The email is signed by a presumably live person, but the email's content makes it seem as thought they didn't actually read my support request, not to mention it reads like something aimed at a child. They actually include a link to the USPS website along with advice on how to make sure I know my own zip code. Good grief.

Anyway, I replied to the canned email and haven't heard back yet. Also called my CC provider again and they still find nothing wrong on their end with my account, or it's security code. They placed a managerial permission of some sort on the account in order to allow apple to bill my account despite their issue with my security code. It's only good for 30 days, so hopefully apple's problem will be fixed by then. But in the meantime, at least I'm able again to update apps, buy music, whatever.

Cheers!

I too have store credit then PayPal if needed. So, payment info. shouldn't be the issue

This probably means nothing but I just used the individual Get Update buttons instead of Update All like I always do and it didn't send me to the accounts page for the first time in days.

Again, it's probably nothing.

It keeps happening to me too, it asks for my password then goes to the account info screen. It's bloody annoying!

been happening to me too, but started before 9.1 for sure... CC is up to date, but will maybe switch that up now to see if it helps. it's intermittent- once i enter my password, go to Account Info, then hit update again, it works for a while, but eventually (even later that same day) i have to re-enter it all...

Same problem here. I'm really at a loss on this one. I'm at the point where I'm convinced that it's nothing wrong on my end. I'll see if emailing Apple gets me anywhere.

I'm also curious whats going on, I had to make an US account cause that was the only way you could choose for no credit card options. And about since the date that they updated their software it now looks from where I am looking at the app store. Wich in my case doesn't apply to my account.
So I think there's something going on at apple...
