iTunes 9 and Safari 4 update question?

Last night I upgraded to itunes 9 and noticed that in addition to the iTunes update it had an update to Safari 4. Is that an update for Safari on a PC or Mac or is that an update for the Safari on the iPhone? I unchecked it at the time thinking it was for the PC/Mac version because I had seen Safari 4 on the apple website as a download for the PC/Mac. If it is for the iPhone, how do you go back and get it after the itunes download?

Safari for is for PC/Mac. Safari on your iPhone is updated thru iTunes and comes included in 3.1.0 update.

You can not downgrade Safari alone in the iPhone.

That's what I thought, just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the quick response. Now to decide whether to attempt the 3.1 update or not. I've been reading some mixed reviews, especially with the install.
