I am looking at setting up an iTunes account, and wanted to find out if all the different countries listed under the iTunes account home options
would all have the same content for sale, ( iPhone apps ) so if I had a UK iTunes account , and One friend had a USA iTunes account , and One had a Spanish iTunes account
would we all have exactually the same choice of apps to buy ..?

Thanks

Nope, it all varies region to region. For example, the Last.FM app is available in the US, UK and a couple other countries - I can't get it here in Australia.

Nope, I have a US, UK and AU account, all have much the same app selection but there are some missing from each.

Thanks Guy's ..

I live in Thailand , but my Credit Card which I intend to open an iTunes account ,comes from my UK bank account , my UK bank account address is in Thailand, So as my Credit Card comes from a UK bank ( although the accountaddress is in Thailand ) does this mean the only
iTunes Account I can open to buy apps from is the UK iTunes store ..?

Thanks

Umm no it all depends on your billing address.

I was hoping to open a Uk iTunes Store Account , using my UK Credit Card ,
My problem is that although I have a Uk bank account and want to open the Uk iTunes account using my Uk credit card , my Uk bank account address is here in Thailand . Is the billing address the same as my bank account address?

any one know a way around this:(

You could always simply buy UK iTunes Gift Vouchers and credit your iTunes account with them.
You can often get them at a good discount on eBay.
In the account opening process, instead of entering your card details, you choose the option to "redeem vouchers" .

Hi, where I live , out in the bush , its easer to buy an elephant than an UK iTunes Gift Voucher :) , I was wondering , when on the iTunes application form is say's .. Billing address

Does this mean an address where some sort of .. Bill is sent to you or is it the address of your bank account ..?
if its an address where some sort of Bill is sent to you , I can use a friends address in the Uk ..?

No, the "Billing Address" is your credit card billing address, i.e. where the CC account is sent to. If that is in Thailand you are out of luck, I believe. There are eBay members who sell Vouchers and simply send you the code, which you can enter in the required space online. It's very simple and does not require you to visit a physical shop at all.

Thanks for that , I had a funny feeling that getting an iTunes UK account
while living out here , was not going to be easy :(

Just one thought .. :)

if you can use iTunes Gift Vouchers to buy apps, do the Vouchers have to be from the country where you iTunes account is registered ...?

Say if I could get hold of '' Thai '' iTunes Gift Vouchers , could they be used to
buy apps on a Uk iTunes account

I doubt it. I had to get US vouchers to open a US account so I could get films from the US store, which is much cheaper than the UK store for films.
