I'm based in the UK and have an iPad. The only way of purchasing apps is with a US based iTunes account which I created and have been funding with iTunes gift cards. It turns out that the last one I bought on eBay was funded using a stolen credit card so they have disabled my account. The only way they will re-enable it is for me to add a US based funding source to the iTunes account which unfortunately, being UK based, I don't have.

Any ideas of how I can get out of this one please?

Thanks

Can you use a paypal account with a Virtual Credit Cart or have someone buy on of those Visa Gift Cards for you

Did you get this sorted?

I spend a lot of time each year in the US on business so have a US account but fund it with vouchers bought from stores or on eBay. I've just had my account disabled too, presumably for the same reason, but the support-time turnaround for replying to emails is 2-3 days at a time.

So far the only response I've had when I asked why me account was disabled was an email asking me for more information to allow them to "consider if we can re-enable your account".

My experience is that they will re-enable your account once if you ask nicely, but if it happens a second time, you are stuck.

After much debate with them, I got my account re-enabled the second time it was blocked, but the facility to use gift cards to fund it was removed. They didn't tell me that, but I worked it out myself by trial & error.

Made me feel like a criminal, even though strictly speaking I was the victim (something I bought on ebay turned out to be worthless & stolen). Good old Apple.

That's what I'm guessing has happened to me, but the frustrating thing is how slow Apple are to deal with it.

Is there any way to track down the rogue voucher and seller, will Apple help with that?
