iTunes album animation extremely laggy

Hi everyone,

I have been noticing extreme lag behavior in album view in iTunes. I'm running iTunes with a fairly small music library on a MacBook Pro 2016 non touch bar.

Here's what I am talking about:

Is there anything that improves this behavior?
If not, is there any way to kill the animation entirely?

It's the same on my late 2015 iMac. More than likely just iTunes being its usual horrid self. Not aware of any way to kill it.

Exactly the same. I would say even worse on my 1TB SSD Late 2015 iMac.

I got the MacBook 2016 touchbar 13" and the same iTunes library flys.
