I have a few questions about iTunes and 96 khz Audio.

1) I have a few audio files encoded at 96khz. All of them are AIFF. Quicktime correctly states that the files are sampled at 96khz. However when I see the info for the same file in iTunes it states that the sampling frequency is ~65khz. Is iTunes down-sampling the audio?

2) My Mini's audio profile states that it has a sound card which can play 96 khz, I'm currently using the headphone to connect the Mini to my Yamaha amp which is connected to full-range Polk-audio speakers. I assume the Mini will output 96 khz audio? Is this correct.

Thanks in advance!
