iPod Itunes and a few ipod questions??:

Every time i start itunes something pops up in the song title are:

determining gapless playback information

it goes through about 2300 songs then ends,

can i turn this feature off?

it takes forever to start my ipod to try to transfer.


also how do i transfer to my ipod when it is set to manually manage music?


do i need to reformat it to mac as well, because it is showing as a windows format.
