iTunes and Android?

I keep my music organized through iTunes on my MacBook Air. All my music has it's own metadata and album art and what not. I'm considering getting an Galaxy S3. Does anyone out there use iTunes for their music and sync it with their Android device? How do you do it? Do you simply do drag-and-drop? iSyncr? When doing drag-and-drop is it necessary to put the songs into Artist and Album folders or will the music player automatically be able to organize songs based on metadata?

Also, do Android phone play m4a files? I remember on my Droid Incredible some m4a songs would come up with no artist or no song title when I tried to play them.

I use Google Music on my Razr and the Google Music Manager can draw straight from iTunes and send everything to the Google cloud. This includes playlists. If you leave it on, it constantly syncs to your iTunes collection to stay updated. It organizes your collection by song, album, artist, playlist, etc. Works great for me.

Depends where you live, but I downloaded the official Samsung partnered app - 'Easy Phone Sync'. This works directly with iTunes.

I was worried about switching from iOS to Android with my Mac but there are so many solutions to all the things you'd be worried about so don't be.

Just buy one

If you leave it on, it constantly syncs to your iTunes collection to stay updated. It organizes your collection by song, album, artist, playlist, etc. Works great for me.

Does it play the music from the cloud or does it actually move the music on to your phone? I'd prefer to have the music physically on my phone rather than in the cloud so that I can listen to it even when I don't have cell/data service.

My issue with DoubleTwist is that it is it's own music managing app. Meaning I'd have to manage DoubleTwist AND iTunes on my mac and keep both updated.

^ Can't be dealing with two libraries, that's just ball ache.

Try iSync from Google Play store - it's £2 I think from past use, or try the program I suggested before, but I think it's for the UK only.

You can either stream from the cloud or store songs locally on your device for offline listening. Your choice.
