I have just moved my iTunes music library over to a new computer and will use this as base for my iCloud music library. All music has been copied over and was all linked with the tracks on my hard driver on my old MBP. However a few tracks are showing the cloud icon next them them rather than being linked to the actual track on my HD. I know I have the track in my hard drive as I can see it and is in the same location as was previously on my MBP, but for some reason my mac has not connected with it. I have tried a right click on the track to see if there is a way to 'locate' the track in finder on my new MacMini rather than leaving it in the cloud.

Is anyone aware how i can direct the track in iTunes to recognise it on my hard drive rather then just having it in the cloud, even though it is there on my HD

Many thanks anyone

How big is your iTunes library? I put the entire "iTunes Media" folder on an SD card, so it was completely portable. When I got a new PC, I just popped in the card, and pointed to it when iTunes launched.

Unf it is too big for SD card. The tracks are already on my computer, but for some reason it is only showing the cloud option when previously the track on itunes pointed towards the local file on my hard drive

No not greyed out. It has the cloud icon next to it which indicates that it is reading it from the cloud library even though it is on my hard drive. if i turn off cloud music library the track dissapears, even though it was originally a track form my hard drive. I want to redirect the track (showing cloud only) in iTunes, to the track on my hard drive, rather than just being in the cloud

That's not what it means. Did you even read the article I posted?

If you still have an issue after reading it, post a screenshshot of your iTunes song view so we can all see what you mean by "cloud icon".
