Recently got a PowerBook 12", and having some problems with iTunes and iPhoto, have phoned apple about it and was reccomended to do a fresh install of the OS. will do that this weekend.
Whats happening is iTunes keeps starting by itself. Normally it is running all the time so I would not notice this, but was showing a DVD and the controller kept appearing. If you quit iTunes it restarts after a couple of minutes.
With iPhoto the problem is with picture cropping. I wanted to crop some pictures to 4x6 berfore printing, but cropping enhanced the picture at the same time. Which sometimes results in un-natural colours. The picture is not enhanced till I click the arrows to move to the next picture or click done.
Anyone else have similar problems?

Thanks

Alan

Apart from that I love the PowerBook!

Just timed iTunes, exactly 2 minutes between quitting it and it restarting!

That's not right, I'd definitely recommend going with a fresh install. I'm running a similar setup, albeit on an older PB, and am not having any of the issues you're facing. I did a fresh install upon getting Tiger.

(I'm sure I read in the forums about somebody having similar issues with iTunes though, so I don't think you're alone).

iPhoto 'enhancing' pictures is a bug - there are lots of people with this problem both here and on the Apple discussion boards. Current wisdom is to wait for 10.4.1 or iPhoto 5.0.3

Ah, well that saves me from having to reinstall everything. Funny that the apple support person i phoned never new anything about it.
Can live without Jewellcase tho.

Yeah... there were a few people on the Apple boards saying that. Apparently Level 2 know about it? Which doesn't help much. In the meantime, I suggest adding your voice by sending Apple feedback

Thanks, have done that, hope they sort that soon
