iTunes and iPod woes

Hey guys,

I just reformatted my mac and forgot to back up my iTunes library. Just as I about to swear a loud string of profanities, I realized that I still had my iPod. Is it possible to get a utility sync everything back to the iTunes from the iPod (playlists and album art cover)? If so, please send me in the direction.

I dont want to seem stingy or anything, but I'm a student and I'd rather use something free... that does the samething. Sorry, I should feel embarassed to even say this, but given the fact that I have 50 dollars in my bank account after textbooks, I'm trying to save as much as possible.
