I can stream HD music videos just fine in the iOS 8.4 Music app, but not so much in iTunes 12.2. I checked my preferences and I definitely have "1080p" for "Video Version" selected. Anyone else have issues? Pretty sure it's not my internet connection, as I can stream HD Netflix and YouTube just fine.

same here, this is a little weird. I'm watching on a 55 inch tv and 27 inch monitor and I can immediately see the loss in video quality on a 1080p screen and def a 4k screen.

Doesn't look like they're HD videos at all. I added one to my library and made it available offline. Located it in finder, the dimension are (of this one at least) 853*318

I was really hoping to not have to go to Vevo or YouTube for music videos... But the desktop quality is p**s poor. I tried watching on my iPad last night too, and the issue with that is the video doesn't go full screen. You have a massive white border with playback controls, as if the video is replacing the album art of a song. Really hoping this gets fixed soon.
