I'm an old musician (71), so if this has already been asked, don't yell at me!!

How Do I RENAME albums titled UNKNOWN?

I'm older than you, so I won't yell. :) In iTunes, click on the song you want, you should see three dots to the right of the name. Click the dots and choose Song Info. You can change the name and other info in the window that opens.

The"Music" App has replaced iTunes ever since MacOS Catalina. The procedure is similar there but the three dots are in a different place. Choose "Get Info" and you will get the window where you can change the name.

In both of these cases, if you want to change the ALBUM for a group of songs, you will need to select all the songs in the album (click the first song, then hold down the shift key and click the last song). Now go to Song Info/Get Info and change the album name.

"Apple Music" is something completely different and I don't have that. I suspect that you will not be able to change the name there but not really sure.

1. Select the album or songs int he album.
2. CMD + I
3. Edit away.

With Apple Music you have to add an album to your library before you can edit it.
