iTunes art work question ...

Can the artwork downloaded with a song be printed? I'd like to make CD lables for some of my songs. If not, what useful purpose does the artwork serve? I'm still a bit new to iTunes, so there might be something I'm missing.

Can you drag the artwork to your desktop? If so then you could load it into a graphics app and print it accordingly I'd assume... otherwise I think it's just there to look pretty... it displays the cover art when you do iTunes visualizations too.
