my friends give me albums on my flash drive all the time and they always have a .jpg with the album artwork, however about half the time iTunes recognizes the artwork. i plan on transferring all of my collection (which is enormous) to an online storage service. in doing so, i will have to go through all my albums and upload them to new folders one by one and what better time to organize - it will be time consuming, but while i am at it i would like to find and have the filename CORRECT of all the artwork for the albums... is there any rhyme or reason to iTunes recognizing these jpg's as album art vs foreign images? thank you Mac peoples =)

This might be an idea. If the album artwork isn't recognised just go on Google Images and put in '...... Album Artwork', copy it and then paste it to the correct album in iTunes.

yes!

that totally does work and that's what i've been doing. i am uploading all my stuff to an online server, because inevitably one day my hard drives will fail and i will be forced to go to my online storage and retrieve all my files in order to reload itunes on the new computer i replace the dead one with. so, i was wanting to upload everything exactly how itunes liked to recognize it, so when that day comes, ill upload wait 100 hours and BAM it'll all be perfect... that's what i'm shooting for here ;;):apple:

I've been doing this for my massive collection for the past few months now (taking my time). I've been updating the photos using google.

Question: Does iTunes Match pick up the change and automatically upload the images? What I've been doing is copying the actual music files, adding the pictures to them, then re-adding them to my iTunes library, delete the original, then perform an iTunes Match. My end game is to get my iPhone to display the correct image when playing music.

Thanks
