I hope I am not repeating anyones previous posts here but I want to share the way I grab iTunes artwork for my Movies etc.

I first right click on the image in the iTunes Store and choose "Copy Link"

Then paste the link into Safari and right click "copy image address"

The url given is something like :

http://a4.mzstatic.com/us/r1000/025/Video/e8/7c/1d/mzi.gpmvtqbn.227x227-75.jpg

I then just change the 227x227 for 600x600 and hey presto!

I hope this may have helped some people.

I just put all my movies through iDentify, and it tags it all for me: Artwork, description, date released, season/episode numbers for TV shows, and it auto adds it to my library after tagging. So easy lol.

Yeah, there are several apps out there that do this automatically. In fact I made one called Magic Media Marker as well that was made for automating this process with out needing user interaction.

+1--best overall tagging software I've used so far (included MetaX, Subler, Vidalin), especially great for tagging entire seasons of TV shows.

What about music? What does everyone use for that? Mainly, I am looking for high quality album artwork. My library is completelt tagged and the artwork looks great iTunes on a 19" LCD as well as on my iPhone & iPods but not so good on my iPad & ATV. Most of the tagging was done a few years back using Tag & Rename (Windows) which grabbed artwork from Amazon. I know there are sites out there for high quality album art but i am looking for a way to automate the process since i have a very large library. Preferably something that will only replace artwork below a certain resolution. I want something that I can trust not to screw up my other tags though....

Thanks MrHyde, this helped me! I prefer to get the artwork myself and manually organize my stuff. I know, tedious... But your process was a great tip! Thanks!

After searching extensively I have found THE best sites for album, tv and movies artwork,,,,,,i ll never use anything else...up to 1500x1500 album artwork and the same for movies/tv shows.....copy and paste into iTunes....simple

links:

http://getvideoartwork.com/

yes, yes,,,,you are welcome...;)

(no offence to the OP, but your way is a very roundabout way of doing a very simple job!)

well the op's method can be handy for when the odd occasion that the artwork you require os not on the sites previously mentioned.

Out of interest, does anyone know what the resolution if is that you need to enter to grab the movie artwork?

I got the 227x227 art for a movie, and then entered 600x600 and I got a file that was 400x600. Surely iTunes movie art is higher than this? I thought it was 667x1000 as per GVA?

Any ideas?

+1 for getvideoartwork.com---my go to site when I don't see anything I like in Identify2. BTW, Identify2 pulls most of their movie artwork from themoviedb.org in case you prefer to input it manually-- tons of high res stuff.

I dont think it works very well with movie artwork, but yes, movie artwork from iTunes is 667x1000, and TV show artwork is 600x600, the same as cd album artwork.
