iTunes atomaticly changes tags when I play a song

I noticed that I entered the wrong tag information for some tracks, I simple changed it on iTunes, except whenever I play the song on iTunes, the tag changes back to what it use to be. Anyone know why or what I am doing wrong? I'm assuming it is somthing simple.

I'm having a similar problem. iTunes keeps adding 6-7 spaces to the artists name. It doesn't happen all the time, but probably 1/20 songs I play.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Check the file permissions. I had a similar problem with a file my brother owned. I didn't have the rights to change the file, so it always reverted to the original state.
