iTunes auto rotating pictures on iPad

One of the first things I did when I got my iPad was to load hundreds of pictures onto it. The problem is that for some reason, during this process, my pictures get rotated back to their original position even though they are all rotated correctly on my computer.

Now most of the pictures on my iPad are facing the wrong way and I have yet to find a solution. Anyone else having the same problem or figure out a solution?

I am sure there is but I am not going through over 1,000 pictures and rotating them manually. They are already the correct orientation on my computer and iTunes is screwing them up when it converts them over.

My iPhone does the same thing. I cant find and settings in iTunes for pictures being copied to a device.

Idk. I use iphoto 09 and mines all good. Maybe if you call apple they can help you?
