Itunes backups?

I just got my Iphone 4S and have noticed when I sync, it longer backs up the phone.

I had an Iphone 4 previously and from what I remember, everytime I did a sync, it backed up too.

I've set backup to back up to this computer instead of icloud. The only way it seems to back up is if I manually do it.

Any ideas on how to make this automatic again?
