iTunes chopping

Problems started after I installed ML over Lion. iTunes plays fine untill some time afk, for instance if screensaver turns on, a little bit later iTunes playback comes really chopping, impossible to listen that kind of jittering. Anyone has similar problem or solution?

i have this exact same problem and cannot figure it out. my itunes playback gets choppy and skips at random times.

Yeah this happens sometimes, hard to define the cause.

Anyone tried reinstalling iTunes?
