iTunes asks for my password a minimum of 6 to 7 times a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. I used to ignore it, but then at a certain point I started entering it hoping it would stop, but an hour or so later it just asks again. I don't get it, I don't understand why, but it's driving me absolutely bonkers.

Help! How do I stop this???

BTW, this is just with normal playback from my library. i'm not trying to sync, or buy anything. I'm not using Apple Music service. it's just iTunes open with my library and playlists playing.

In preferences, I do have iCloud Music Library unchecked (I can't stand that it fills my iPhone with stuff I didn't put on there). But Show Apple Music is checked, not sure what that means, as I don't use Apple Music.

I've noticed this too but have no idea what's triggering it.

It only happens on my iPod though, not iPhone or iPad.
