iTunes December update ... Playlist order

I have multiple folders for managing playlists. Prior to the last iTunes update I could reorder my playlists in any order I see fit, now they are automatically ordered based on usage and I cannot reorder them (ie. alphabetically). Example, I make "best of: artists" playlists and like to order them by artist name alphabetically. Now, iTunes does not allow this. Does anyone know if this is truly the case or am I missing something now?

Something has certainly changed - for the worse...

I have nested playlist folders, e.g

• Contemporary
  • Band AA
    • Album 1
    • Album 2
  • Band AC
    • Album 3

and so on

Prior to this release, when I added a Playlist folder, it was placed alphabetically.
Now its placed at the end, and I can't move it

So if I added folder Band AB to the Contemporary folder above,
Previously I'd get:

• Band AA
• Band AB
• Band AC

Now I get a sequence that is:

• Band AA
• Band AC
• Band AB

Poor...

This happens at all levels of the folder hierarchy

Looked through all the options/preferences/menu items I can think of and no parameter makes any difference

Except that, if you exit iTunes and restart it then the alphabetic order gets properly resolved

I noticed it would default back to alphabetically too at times, but you pinpointed the change. I hope this is just a bug and can be fixed or at least an option to sort playlists as we choose in future iTunes releases.

I was worried this affected iOS versions of Apple Music playlists, but they always defaulted to alphabetically listings.
