iTunes does not recognize iOS 12.1.2 already installed?

iTunes says there is an update for iOS 12.1.2 (which is obviously already installed on my X). On the iPhone itself software update info says: no update available, latest version installed.

Yep I get it too!

It happened to me a couple of days ago. I hit the update button in iTunes it re downloaded the software and installed it. There were no problems.

It’s a different/newer build than the one that was released OTA.

Hmm last time I did an iTunes update I ended up having to restore.....

I went for it last night and I'm glad to say it went perfectly.
