So I tried to sync some new photo's on my iPad this morning, but iTunes doesn't see my most recently added albums in iPhoto. I tried closing out and restarting both iTunes and iPhoto, but nothing seemed to help.

Any suggestions?

Also, is there a way to sync directly from iPhoto to the iPad? I see the iPad icon pop up under devices in iPhoto, but I cant see to do anything with it...

Ok the same thing happened to me. Log out of your computer and log back in and that should fix it.

Also, seeing the ipad in iPhoto is for getting stuff out of the camera roll into iPhoto. It's a one way sync, mesning you can only take from the ipad camera roll to iPhoto and nothing else.

So that's if I were to get the camera connection kit? Is that how I would pull off my RAWs?

I have been thinking about trying to get a camera kit, but I'm unsure how to get the RAW's off the iPad and into Lightroom.

Thanks for the help.

Ok it took me a few reads, but yes. I understand.

Basically, if you get the iPad Camera Connection Kit, then you connect your camera to the adapters (via USB or SD Card) and then it will import your photos directly to the iPad's Camera Roll. Then, if you wanted to save from the iPad's Camera Roll to iPhoto, you plug it in, and you'll see your device (like you have), and you'll be able to import the photos from the iPad's Camera Roll to iPhoto :).

Hope that helps.

I ordered my camera connection kit on June 27th. I'm still waiting. Shipping August 10th.
