itunes doesnt detect iphone

hello, i have a problem.

i connected my iphone to my laptop, somehow itunes doesnt detect it, doesnt even charge the iphone too. which is weird, because it worked fine before the last time i did it (probably more than a month ago). i'm using windows, and have 2nd gen iphone, using latest firmware 2.2, jailbroken, and latest itunes.

i thought it might be the usb cable connecting to iphone, so i changed to my other cable, doesnt solve the problem. and i dont think it's the usb port problem either, because it detects my usb mouse.

could someone help?

It could well be the usb port, do you have another PC you can try it out on?

did you try a hard reset of the iphone?? works for my ipod
