Itunes doesn't recognize my unlocked phone

I already unlocked my phone a year ago, and it has been working with tmobile. Tmobile changed the internet settings so now I need to jailbreak my phone again to change the internet settings.

I couldn't use the old Independence software I had on the mac because I had updated Itunes. So I tried to uninstall Itunes, and install Itunes 7.4. However, now Itunes does not recognize my phone.

I don't want to try restoring my phone because it is working fine otherwise and works with other windows computers.

Does anyone know why Itunes wouldn't be able to see my iphone? (Iphoto opens up when I connect the phone so the usb is fine.)
