what can i do??? i try to download itune 4 but the format of the download dosent work...itune4.dmg... ???.dmg???

what can i do ...can any body help me!!!?

thanks

are you running windows?? OS X??? OS 9??? .dmg is a standard mac disk image. If you cant mount that you have issues. Is your driver internal or external? if its external it wont work with itunes. Check www.xlr8yourmac.com and check the database of drives and see what other people have done as far as your drive. Make sure you have disk copy in your utilites folder, so you can mount a .dmg.

his profiles says PM G4... so he needs to find the Disk Utility...

AFAIK, external devices don't work with iApps. iTunes with CD-R, iDVD with DVD-R, etc...

basicly forget itunes. You need os x for itunes 4. I would still think the dmg would mount but oh well. Panther is here my friend, time to upgrade.

Probably because it's an external DVD burner and you're in 9. My LaCie FireWire CD-RW is supported in 9 and X by iTunes and Disc Burner.

iDVD and DVD Player in OS X won't recognize it 'cause it's external.

Roxio's Toast Titanium should see and burn to your external burner with no trouble - either in 9 (Toast Titanium 5) or in X (Toast 6 Titanium).
