I bought a new Macbook Air 2 months ago. I transferred approx 11.5 GB of songs from my old PC to my new iTunes library.

I made another iTunes library for my wifes iphone. Its 5.86 GB, but it's all songs copied from my library.

My memory now shows 28.7 GB used for music between the files I originally copied and the two iTunes libraries I created. Thats taking up a lot of space I would like to free up.

Should I be able to safely delete the original 11.5 GB I copied from my PC, leaving just the music on just the 2 iTunes libraries?

Thanks

EDIT: just realized I posted this in the iPod forum. Moderators please move if there is a better place for it.
