iTunes error setting up new Xs Max

Hi,

I'm trying to setup my new Xs Max with a iTunes backup,
but whenever I connect it to my MacBook Air I get an error saying 'iTunes cannot connect to this iPhone, you are not authorised'. I can't find anything about it online?

Any tips?

Have you unlocked the iPhone? You need to tell it to trust the computer.

Have you unlocked the iPhone? You need to tell it to trust the computer.

It was unlocked. I somehow got a pop-up over the other one after some time, prompting me to update iOS on the new phone. Somehow that worked and now it’s all fine. Thank you though
