I am not in windows right now, but off the top of my head, I think itunes took about 4 times as much memory than winamp. That's a bit excessive. I know it's not nearly as much as Dreamweaver, access, etc. I accept that some programs are memory eaters. If i use one of these, i use it and then close it. I'd never let Dreamweaver sit open on my desktop for days. I have winamp start at startup and it sits there till shut down. I never have to worry about it because it is small. I tunes is jus a little to bulky.
The ipod service is a good idea, if you have an ipod. I know why they did it, but why can't I turn it off? Does apple think everyone has an ipod? That sounds like ms thinking everyone uses ie.
