I understand Apple's strategy for the Mac, but what about we Windows users? Is iTunes being replaced? Upgraded? Separated?

TIA

According to several media sources nothing is changing for Windows users, they'll still use iTunes. Which makes the hysteria over iTunes being axed all the more unnecessary.

For those who consider iTunes bloatware, this could be a strategy on Apple's part to drive more switchers to the Mac!

There stand cost more than an midrange gaming Windows PC so people are nuts to buy Apple hardware. They will have to release an stand alone Music app for Windows soon I will see it most likely come out by the fall through the Microsoft store. There is no way they are keeping iTunes alive.

Apple has always used its software as the value-add. I'd rather pay more to use macOS (and have Windows as an optional extra).

(But yes, the Mac Pro and stand only appeal to a certain target market.)
