itunes 12.1.2, iphone 7 latest version

guys can't get my itunes to recognize my iphone 7
an unknown error occured (0xE800002D)

Any suggestions?

Did you try a force restart? Press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

I clicked on update and it says it's the latest version

Well the latest version is currently 12.7.3. Please check that you actually have 12.1.2. If so, and it won't update by itself, I'd uninstall the version you have and manually download and install the latest.
