Since I did the last IPOD Video software update via Itunes, my IPOD video crashed. There are no songs on the IPOD anymore but the IPOD itself says that still 40gb of total 80gb is in use. How can this be?
Once I connect IPOD Video to Itunes, Itunes freezes and I cannot do anything with it anymore. Once I detach the IPOD Video from Itunes, Itunes works again. It looks like something is wrong with software on my IPOD Video how can I re-install that without the use of Itunes? Does anyone have had the same experience? Ipod is only 8 month old. :-(

Same Problem

i am having the exact same problem with TWO ipods, both video and both fairly new. I have tried everything on every site imaginable to figure out this problem. from what i've read it's a problem with the firmware on the ipod, too bad every solution to this problem involves either using itunes, or the solution doesn't work at all. SOMEONE post something useful...
