I have a brand new Mac book pro and when I connect my iPhone 4 it freezes as soon as it starts to sync every single time.....any suggestions?

I've tried restarting the computer and phone.

I also started having what sounds like the same issue while upgrading my iPad to iOS 5 this evening. Going through the upgrade was painfully slow. Then I upgraded to OSX 10.7.3. Now, every time I open iTunes or plug in my iPad, iTunes stops responding while it is apparently synching the iPad. Very annoying. My conclusion is that iTunes sucks.

2011 Macbook Pro 17 Core i7 8 gig ram. Should just barely be fast enough to handle iTunes.

At least I'm not alone. I hope there a fix.

Sorta have the same issue. After upgrading to the latest iTunes, whenever I sync it beachballs ALOT which is quite annoying. It works, eventually, but I'm guessing it just might be a bug or something the newer version. i'm sure they'll get it sorted out in the another update.
