I got an Apple TV for christmas and immediately put it on my network and stored my itunes information and rented a movie. I had a balance from a gift card I had previously loaded which was more than enough to cover the rental but for some reason it hasn't deducted anything from the balance when I load itunes on my mac. I know when I charge to my credit card it takes a few days to show up on my statement but whenever I bought anything using the itunes balance it would display instantly.

Has anyone else had this experience? Is Apple charging my credit card for all apple tv related purchases?

Hello,

try clicking on the email address next to your balance on your itunes store screen. It will ask you for your password. After you have entered it you should see an updated balance, if the itunes gift card was deducted.
