How would I go about making a script that removed the comments from all my MP3's? Previously I commented many with information about the artist/performance/stuff to do to the MP3 etc, but now I want rid of it. That sounds easy until you take into consideration about 1500 of them are commented.

I downloaded the iTunes scripts from apple.com but after a cursory glance didn't see much of use.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yea, I had a similar problem when iTunes for Windows finally came out. All my songs/artist info was in the file name and not the tag.

I had to sit down and manually type in all the tags. It sucked, but if you spend just a couple of hours a day, you could have them done in a week or two :)

if you select all of the songs, do "get info" on them in iTunes, check the box beside the "comments" field, leave it blank... it should set the comments field to be blank on all songs. iTunes does have some batch processing capability, like adding cover art to entire albums or changing the name of the band, etc...
