So there I am with the new album by Alex Parks and I want to import it into iTunes (v.3) and so I drag and drop them into a folder called Alex and wait. A few minutes later I discover that tracks 7-10 are missing. I try those tracks again and nothing. I quit iTunes and start again, the 4 tracks seem to import but to an unknown location. Any ideas? I just checked other albums and tracks are missing - why?

Thanks in advance

Simon

Tried that and the songs imported but I couldn't find them afterwards even in the library. Dumbed them in as aiff files ok but it still feels a bit odd.
Thanks

When you imported them did you give the tracks names? If you don't they will apear at the buttom of the list.

Thats the problem - I couldn't find them after iTunes told be the were imported and I checked the tracks in the library as well. Also i checked other imports and there is the occasional track missing.

maybe I should review what I write

I'm not sure if you mean:
a) your files show up in your iTunes library but not on the disk, or

b) the files don't show up in iTunes at all.

If your problem is a), then select one of the tracks in your iTunes library and hit cmd-r (to show the file in the finder).

If the problem is b), turn on "play songs while importing" in preferences, and then go to import the files from the CD. When the song you need to find starts playing, hit cmd-L to show it in your library.

Not sure if that helps, but it might be useful...

I can't find the tunes in the library after import. I don't have time to check things out now but thanks for your help. I will try it tonight and see what happens.
