Good news - the 0.7 dev series of Plex will include iTunes integration, including the playback of DMR music (but not video) from the iTunes Store. Front Row is on its death bed as far as I'm concerned.

better integration... Plex can already read the iTunes library. I suggest you look into Plex - I think this Sunday is when they release the new version. I just started using it and I'm addicted to it. SO MUCH better than anything else, on any platform!

oh dont you worry, i have been using plex for the last couple of months (since you recommended it too me!). it runs 1080p perfectly even with my CD MBP clocked at 1ghz (dont like the noise at night when it gets hot).
i will be waiting for the newest update!! yeww

I still like front row for music playback. No need for me to describe how it works to my friends, while XBMC and it's forks isn't exactly user friendly. However, the new app switching looks awesome!

OK, if you haven't tried it yet, dl the 0.7 dev release of Plex. Way cool and plays real nice with iTunes.
I can't try Plex until I get an Intel Mac but am I right in saying it would enable me to play H264 videos stored and organised in iTunes. If they have two audio tracks (one stereo the other DD 5.1) could get the 5.1 audio via optical out to a receiver instead of just stereo?
I installed plex and hated it. I am so use to the ease of front row and front row interface is so much better. I am getting mad at not being able to play all formats from front row. Maybe I will try plex again after the update. Is there a real toutorial anywhere to make it easy for some one like me. I tried to read their forums but still don't quite get it. I want something easy for me to add sources and my family to pick up my harmony remote and easy to navigate. Front row makes this super easy.
