Ok, so I plugged my ipod into my ibook w/ a firewire cord for the first time in about a month. But, itunes starts to load then won't load all the way. Then when I try to force quit itunes, it won't work, nothing works to close it. I then unplug the firewire cord and itunes quickly closes, no problems. I tried restoring my ipod, and it quickly worked atleast Itunes opened then I put all my song back on my ipod, and closed itunes. When I plugged it back in, it did the same thing. What could be wrong? I tried reparing permissions etc. HELP!

Is the iBook behaving normally when the iPod isn't plugged in? Is the iPod behaving normally other than this? When my iPod's hard drive was failing, it would often freeze up iTunes and Finder on my Mac. It might be time for a repaired or replacement iPod. :)

If you get the chance, use Disk Utility to verify and maybe repair the iPod's disk.
