I just bought a MacBook Pro 13inch last week and from the first time that I opened iTunes it's been freezing like crazy! I haven't done anything to my MacBook so I don't know why it's acting like this. Everytime I sync my iPhone with new music or to just let it charge the little pinwheel comes up and starts swirling and iTunes freezes. Just clicking "get info" will send it into a frenzy ugh!!! It's extremely annoying and I don't know what to do. I have to keep force quitting iTunes about 10 times before it FINALLY syncs! If anybody can help me out with this I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

is your library on the internal drive or an external?

First, awesome pic! And second, it's an internal drive. Here's some info: Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5. Memory: 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

Might be an issue with your hdd. I had this on mine and had to take it back to Apple for a replacement.

Do the following first to see;

Open Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility and 'Verify Disk'. If it has errors you can fix it from here, or it'll recommend a restart with a fix.

Then verify disk permissions and allow it to run its course.

Restart and see if the freezing or beach ball problems continue.

Ugh tried that and it didn't work :( This is all very frustrating because I regularly use iTunes and this issue has caused me to revert back to my old, wear-and-tear Windows laptop where iTunes has been working flawlessly! What sucks is that I bought my MacBook Pro brand new from the Apple store and already I am dealing with numerous issues (kernel panics for one) and now this. If you have any other recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Quite easy really - take it back in the box and ask for a full replacement. They will do it within 14 days.

You shouldn't be experiencing any issues at this stage in its life.
