I back up my itunes library to an external HD but I found it got corrupted and now my treasured Ipod Classic 80 has 10+gb more tunes on it than the Itunes program ..

Is there a way to clear the Itunes (backed up first) and then upload the Ipod library back in to Itunes..
then merge the 2 files and delete the duplicates?

Interesting post title. Your iPod Classic is not corrupted, your iTunes library is.

There seem to be several applications that can accomplish what you're asking. I have not tried any of them, but here's an example:
