Hi Guys, seem to be having a problem with iTunes and each time I open the program I am asked if I want to allow incoming connections. I press allow, and even checked and deleted and re-added it to the firewall exceptions in the settings panel but each time I open the program it asks again!

I had this problem in SL but all I had to do was disable Home Sharing and/or remotes and it solved the problem - not this time!

Im running iTunes 10.5 beta 2. Any ideas?

In SL, i was easily able to get past the firewall issue by simply downloading iTunes from Apple's site and reinstalling.

It was quite an annoyance, and that sucks to hear this issue is still present in Lion. :(

Yeah I would have thought that with all the posts about it on their own support sites for SL that they would have actually done something about it.

The pretty annoying thing to boot is that, initially I wasnt experiencing the issue. I for some stupid reason went looking for the problem! I Turned home sharing on to see if it happened and nope, was in the all clear. Then I turned it off and a few restarts later I get this annoying popup asking for permission!

same setup and problem...

I seemed to have solved it! Lion wont let you uninstall iTunes anymore, so I used Clean my mac - removed itunes and then restarted the computer, reinstalled iTunes and thats it problem solved!!
