When plugging in the phone to do a backup, I see the bar at the bottom it lists 19GB as Other. Any idea what this is and how to get rid of it?

Try going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and see what's there. You should be able to see what it is and remove it if necessary.

OK -- went to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. Nothing big there except 16GB SYSTEM. There are all the apps listed too, but those should be covered by the Apps category.....and not in that 19GB OTHER category.

So, any other ideas?

I has this issue. when I restored from iTunes. I has like 40+ gb of other storage basically filling up my 64gb Max. Think it has something to do with iCloud photos. I wiped and restored from iCloud and I didn't have the issue. weird tho.
Are you restoring from iTunes?

Yep. iTunes restore. I kept disconnecting and reconnecting to iTunes and now it is showing 3.41GB of OTHER. I may just have to start over and do either a backup from iCloud or set up as new and re-install every thing.
