In the Depths of the SLC!
I've been reading through all the discussions and came to a point where I realized NO ONE has mentioned iTunes LPs. How do you think these will work?

I haven't purchased any but I got a free one from a website some time ago (legally, they were giving it away), and I think it's pretty cool. I could imagine Apple had this in mind when they first released the LP, and now a way for us to take advantage of it.

EDIT - I'm talking about if iTunes LP will work on the iPad or not.

I've been wondering the same thing. It would be relatively easy.

I get the feeling more and more everyday that we haven't been shown the iPad's full features and the fact that the iPad is running 3.2 and not a full increment release (like 4.0). Has me thinking the iPad will ship with 3.2 and when the 4.0 SDK is announced in March (like it always has) it will only be a few months before the iPad gets 4.0.

If you look at the iPad, it has many hints of what will trickle down to the iPhone. (background image on homescreen for that matter.) Remember it is the same OS.

The timing of the possible SDK 4.0 release and the iPad's launch coincide nicely. Apple may be holding out on features of 4.0 that will be included when the iPad ships. I think they just don't want to spoil all the goodies that will come with 4.0

I agree. I imagine they've been fine-tuning the hardware side of things for the last year or so, and software played a second fiddle to that - which would explain why they didn't announce it with OS 4.0.

That's what I think.

There's probably also a marketing element to it. They probably also didn't want to steal 4.0's thunder by announcing its features early. If it's announced that the iPad will be getting various new features just a few days before it's released in stores, that'll add a whole new level of publicity to its launch.

So I guess the LP's don't work on the iPad iTunes..... Kinda lame. The iPad is the perfect place to view these. What a shame.

iTunes LP is made with HTML5, so should work on the iPad.

Looks like no one owns a LP album to try out?

How did you make that assumption? No one in this thread said it didn't work.

I imagine that if iTunes LP was coming to the iPad, they would've mentioned it in the keynote. LP content is probably just left out when syncing with iTunes.

So iTunes LP is not currently supported is that right?

What about iTunes Movies Extras.
