I have enjoyed iTunes Match for the past several months, however recently have come across a problem. I mainly use iTunes Match with my Mac Mini hooked up to my HDTV and Audio receiver. In the past, I have not noticed any problems, however lately I have noticed every few songs the song will sound like my speakers are blown with terrible distortion. I have tested my speakers and I know that's not the problem. The interesting part is, I can restart the song that was causing the distortion or skip to another song and it will play perfectly fine. I read in another thread about iTunes being updated to 10.5.2 that addresses a supposed distortion issue, but even with the latest version of iTunes, I am having this problem.
Is anyone else running into this problem and if so, is there a fix?

Thanks. This is starting to interfere with my enjoyment of music.

I've noticed this happens every now and again with my iTunes Match too.
How did you manage to resolve this?

I usually just delete the album then just re-download it.

In my situation, what the culprit was is a program called AirServer. I installed the AirServer program onto my mac mini so I could use the mini as an airplay receiver. What happened was when I was playing music through iTunes, it was streaming through the AirServer program and not the computer itself. It seemed as soon as I changed the speaker setting to "computer" in iTunes instead of the Airplay computer name, the distortion stopped.
Not sure if that helps anyone else, but it might.
