How do I get music videos that I didn't buy off the iTunes store on my iPhone. The option used to be under the music tab, but now all I can do in that tab is sync voice memos. I really don't want to change them all to movies.

I wish I knew. I am having the same trouble. I couldn't find a way to do it, so I have turned off iTunes match until they add this feature or someone figures it out.

If I find something out, I'll come back and update this post.

Good Luck Jason!

With the new way iOS 5 split the iPod and Video apps, any type of video is under the Video app now. Thats where all of mine now appear. It sounds like iTunes Match is on, so the videos should show up under the Videos app.

The problem is that there is nowhere in iTunes to manage music videos anymore. It used to be managed by the music tab, now that match is on there's nowhere to manage them. I know where they should be, it's getting them there that's the issue.

Do they show up as music videos in your iTunes library?

Yes. Before under devices->iPhone->music it gave the option to sync music videos. Now because of iTunes match it just has voice memos there. The only option I can think of is to change them to tv shows or movies but I really don't want to do that. I have a few that I got through iTunes as part of an album and they show up fine when I redownload them

You don't have to mange them anymore with iTunes Match. Just go under the video app on your iPhone and all of your videos should be there. If you want to watch one, tap on it and it'll download.

Only the purchased videos are. Not ones I've added. There's no way to get them from iTunes to the iphone

your own music videos you have gotten from other sources outside of the itunes store are not eligible for itunes match and will not upload. nor is there a way to add them to your ios devices if you have itunes match turned on. Seems like a glaring oversight from apple. very unusual. i suspect they'll have to fix this in a future update... at the very least you should be able to sync them manually.

Work around

Guys,

My work around for this has simply been to change the video type to "Movie" over music video.

In iTunes (Mac or Win)
1. Locate the non-purchased music video you wish to move to your iPhone, iPod, etc.

2. Right-Click and "Get Info" on the video. Choose the "Options" tab, then change Media Kind to "Movie". Click OK

3. Navigate to your device's "Movies" page, and check the box next to the now-available video.

4. Sync your device.

Cheers everyone
