I'm soon to get my first iOS device and wanted to inquire about a couple things relating to iTunes Match.

1) When Match was released, I recall having seen many headlines about the frustrating ways in which it will alter songs (tags, art, song versions) it uploads to the cloud. I imagine that's still the case. I'm willing to accept that, however, does iTunes Match ever alter, in any way, your local/source copies?
2) From the FAQ:

"iOS devices will start playing tracks from iCloud as they download and will store them so that you can listen to them later even if you don’t have a network connection."

Can I simply opt to always stream the iTunes Match content from an iPad? With an iPad, given its size and considering the size of my music library and my listening habits, it would fill up within weeks.

Thank you for any help.

ITunes match has never altered tracks without me doing the altering. In terms of streaming, it isn't really downloading the tracks unless you specifically choose to download them. It'll keep a cached file but that will go away on its own.

Alrescha and Paco II, thank you so much.

I'll go ahead and get iTunes Match since my concerns aren't concerns any more.
