iTunes Match - Artwork not syncing ??? Bug?

Hi all,

Have signed up for itunes match and even though everything else i am updating on my tracks (song titles, album titles, artists etc) are successfully syncing up the artwork does not seem to be updating whatsoever, and all my artwork is all to pot on itunes match.. why is this, is this a known bug or something?

Yeah after the first time a song is match, any subsequent add artwork isn't done. I have this problem with a lot of my music.

I have 15k songs in my library and my iPhone gets all of the artwork while my iPad does not. I love Match and will continue to pay for it, but there's still some quirks with it.

I really hope when iTunes 11 launches there are a lot of "fixes" for iTunes Match. I want to get it, but it just seems like there's so many issues/bugs.

Apple could never fix any bugs and I'd still pay for it since I use it so much. There's nothing better than having your entire music library available to you on any of your iOS devices and computers.

Home sharing (until Apple released iOS 6) does the same thing and doesn't have the bugs that iTunes match has.

iTunes match has been a disapointment.

Actually, since that post, all of my artwork is now across all of my devices. I don't have one complaint about Match. Sure, some match and some don't, but I still have my library with me at all times. Since everything is uploaded that isn't matched, it's sorta hard to complain, IMO.

iTunes match is only good for being on the go. Home Sharing is much better for listening to music in your home. iTunes match downgrades all lossless files to 256Kbps, whereas Home Sharing will stream lossless files and doesn't have the artwork problems that plague iTunes match, plus with iTunes match you are limited to only 25,000 songs.

I use Home Sharing a lot, but it depends on the device I'm using. If it's an iOS device, it's much easier to just open the Music app and start playing with Match. If I'm on an Apple TV, I tend to use Home Sharing. I also don't have more than 25K songs plus iTunes purchases don't count towards that so it doesn't bother me.

That's what they state but a lot of my purchases don't show up in the "purchased" section and my purchased playlist only shows 100 songs and I've purchased well over 100 songs.

Now on to your 2nd point. There was a time when I had a 16 gig iPhone and a 120 gig iPod classic. Back then all of my music was ripped at 128Kbps and I would sometimes buy music from the iTunes store.

When iTunes match came out I sold the 120 gig iPod classic and bought an 8 gig iPod touch and would use the iTunes match to access all my music. The iPod touch sits in a Bose Sounddock. This aloud me to playback my 128Kbps songs at 256Kbps

I later found out about home sharing and figured out that I can just stream music from my computer and since my computer has a 1.5 TB hard d rive, space is now no longer an issue. Because of this I have since upgraded almost all of my music to lossless with the exception of the music that I purchased from either Amazon or iTunes insetead of buying the actual CD.
